EDIFICIO is a project that investigates subjective images and spaces, through collaboration and collective performativity.

The construction of EDIFICIO began in Bilbao (2016) with Planta 0. But it is not a physical building, on the contrary, an immaterial and negative one that continues to grow, floor by floor, in different places. This building will be a way of thinking and sharing the invisible spaces that remain outside the frame of the images we look at.

We meet to exchange photographs, to use them as if they were the luminous frame of our windows, and from there, we construct narratives through the voice. We meet to observe what inter-subjective space occurs between the still image and the inner image of the observer. How do we make reality?

EDIFICIO is a nomadic project, in the sense that it may and expects to be built in different places. However, the human groups that make up each floor are part of communities and imaginaries specific to the places where it is developed.

La construcción de EDIFICIO comienza en Bilbao (2016)

con Planta 0. Pero no se trata de un edificio físico, sino al contrario, uno inmaterial y en negativo que continúa creciendo, planta a planta, en diferentes lugares. Este edificio será una manera de pensar y compartir los espacios invisibles que quedan fuera del encuadre de las imágenes que miramos.

Nos reunimos a intercambiar fotografías, a utilizarlas como si fueran el marco luminoso de nuestras ventanas, y desde ahí, construimos relatos por medio de la voz. Nos encontramos para observar qué espacio inter-subjetivo acontece entre la imagen fija y la imagen interior del observador. ¿Cómo hacemos realidad?

EDIFICIO es un proyecto de carácter nómada, en tanto que puede y espera ser construido en distintos lugares. Sin embargo, los grupos humanos que constituyen cada planta, dan cuenta de comunidades e imaginarios específicos de los lugares donde se desarrolla.
